Good Day, good day.

           Today is playlist Wednesday. I know what your thinking.. What crazy song did she chose today? Well, today I chose Big Data's Dangerous. I found this song intriguing with some of the words used, and I felt like it went with Enchanted Legacy. I am working hard on trying to get a new cover for the book, too. Yes, the original had complications, so here I am trying to find that perfect image to describe the new book. It's really quite a task. You would think that this would be easy, but I find that it's not. I will have one soon, though. Okay, well, without further ado, I give you the lyric video to Dangerous. (The video for the song, can be a little much for some folks, so I went with the lyrics instead today.)

Good Day..

            Sorry for not being around, it seems I have caught a cold. I am not exactly sure why we say we have caught something, when in fact, I did not actually catch it. None the less, I have been sick, which makes me not be able to think of such randomness I could share with you all. Have no fear though, I am feeling better.. So, now your stuck with my corky old self.

I had been trying to think of what I would share with you all today. Would it be about the weather, because that's changing constantly, would it be about a movie I had seen, or would it be about books. The list becomes long when I let my mind run rapid. (Which I may need to tone that down some.) Either way, I found myself just thinking about who cares. Who cares about the damn weather. We all know it's winter time, and unless you live in California or Florida, you probably know the forecast. Cold. Movie wise, there is so many that I recently watched that has me wanting to spill about all of them, but then I think, who cares about that, today.

Now, your wondering, what in the world is she rambling about. Get on with it. Well.. I thought I would tell you all that I think change is good. I took a big leap yesterday and this past week on trying to better myself. Finding the happy in myself, and finding the happy that I can share with others. I feel like we are always trying to sell ourselves in some sort of way, but do we look at who we truly are in the inside? We can share five hundred things about ourselves, but in reality do we just share what we want people to see.

The fake us? The people we think we have to be?

I thought of this, as I decided to post about the subject. I always share what I think you want to hear, then at times that fails. What I want to share is me. Share the ups and downs of real life.
I am a real person, and this is just me being me. I have been honored to see how many people read my crazy words. I never want to think that someone took the time out to hear me, but I didn't even pay attention.
Well, I do.
I pay attention. I see you on my facebook, my twitter, my blog. I watch and feel giddy as I see that you have read what I have said. You make me a better person. This blog post is about me telling you that I have a new lease on life, and that you have made that happen.

Thank you for reading my crazy thoughts, for wanting to read my next book, Enchanted Legacy, and trying to listen to all the songs I post for the playlist. I couldn't do this without you.

Believe..

                                I speak quite a bit about believing in yourself, and making your
                                dreams come true. Today, this blog post is short and sweet.
                                I listed the newest song from the playlist, and also the newest

Let's start this day off, shall we?

Monday morning always seems to creep up on you when you think if it could have just held off for a couple of more hours, but none the less, it's Monday.

What shall we talk about today? Oh, I know. Writing. I think sometimes people believe that writing is easy or that even blogging is easy. I have to tell you, it's not. Well, for me it's not. You have to think of something fun or cool to say when blogging, and when writing a book, you have to write what you feel.

Make believe a story in your mind then put it into numerous words. It may be fun, but it's work.

Then you have to make sure that once the book is wrote you promote the book in every way possible, then you become obsessed with making sure everything and everyone is aware, and then you hope they like it.

That's the life of a writer, or at least my life. I wanted to tell all of you that I do love what I do, and I try my best. If you don't give your all, then why even try, you know? I am not even sure if people still read my blog, but the hell with it, I am writing anyways.

I enjoy knowing that sometimes my craziness is read and may be you feel the same way. We all have dark secrets and we don't tell the whole world, but then again we aren't always writing them down for the world to see. When I started writing the new book, I wanted a Romeo and Juliet twist on the book. Something tragic, yet something beautiful.

So, I just wrote.. and then wrote some more. I actually enjoyed writing for the first time with this book. On that note, I wanted to share one more teaser with you guys. I will be adding the song to the playlist on Wednesday, of course, but so far I hope your finding the music a little different than the last book's playlist. It's got quite a few tunes in the book, too.

Birthdays..

Birthdays are a day we celebrate that we were born. Birthdays are usually pretty great. We receive gifts, we get cake, (if we like cake), and then if we are lucky, everyone is nice to you because, well, it's your birthday. It's a day for others in your life to tell you that they appreciate that you were born. I like birthdays. Not mine most years, I just like the idea of birthdays. Your probably wondering why would I talk about this? Well, today is my oldest daughter's birthday, and I just had one not too long ago. In my newest book, Enchanted Legacy, the main character, Bridget has a birthday that could also be the day she dies. What a twist. 

No one wants that, right? I mean just to think of death is scary in itself, but then to think you could die on the same day you were born? That's just too weird. May be your birthday is today? Or next week, and your wanting something great for your special day. This is a blog post for some of you then. Happy Birthday. Thank you for being you. 

Sometimes we don't hear those words. We don't hear how wonderful others  think we are, when the ones who are in our lives, think that every single day. Okay, may be not every day, but for the most part. In honor of birthdays, and in honor of my oldest daughter, I will post a new teaser. I haven't shared who the book was wrote for yet, but I am guessing soon, people will start to put it together. 

I wanted to share a story that would have a message when it was all said and done. That would be the best part, for me, if people walk away thinking of that message. So, without further ado, I leave you with the newest teaser for Enchanted Legacy. (Bridget's story)

It's been a minute...

  I apologize for not being on my blog like I should be, but I have been working hard on some new projects.

All will be revealed very soon! I am so thrilled with the response of Charming Selene. I can not wait to share with everyone what I have up my sleeves so to speak. New projects are in the works, and in October we are preparing for some big NEWS! I know many people are asking many questions, and I will answer some of those very soon. I will start to give a little insight into what I have been doing. One, writing. Two covers. Yes, I said COVERS. I never truly loved the cover to Charming Selene when it was finally released. So, she is getting a make over. I know that's a big secret I am sharing. I always promised that my blogger fans would be the first to know what I was doing, and that's a promise I have kept. That is one big surprise though. Two, I will have another book out at the beginning of the new year, and it is not what you think. I am excited about that.

I often find that some days are harder to keep pushing myself in this journey. It would be the easy way out to say I am done, and throw my hands up in the air. I do not plan on doing that! I won't quit. Regardless if my books never sale anymore, I will keep doing what I love. I do love sharing stories with people. If you have not checked out my book, feel free. Let's Discover

Today we are discussing the book, Beautiful Creatures. This book is a series. I read this book, a few years back. I really thought at the time it may have been a younger read than I was use to. I ended up really liking the story, and loved the movie. The story is of a girl who is witch, and at the age of seventeen she will chose light or dark magic. This story was very cool. I feel in life we chose to be good or bad at times. We are always having to evolve. We have to make choice's every single day that effect us. We may think we have made a good choice, and then we find out that we may not have made the best choice. Life is full of choice's, and how we deal with them is what makes us who we are. The book, the move, is good! The love story within a girl's fight for just wanting to be a normal girl, is a story we all can relate too. What is normal though? I think we put to much pressure on ourselves to be "normal". Normal should be whatever you are, and whoever you chose to be. Not what society claims to be normal. I hope you will give the book a try, and may be even the movie? Talk to you soon- Dee King

 Today I thought it might be helpful to tell a little about my book. I would like to explain a little bit before I do that. When I decided that this story I had running through my mind should be put on paper was a huge step. Writing (typing) it down at first sounded so odd to me. I just had this idea, and wanted to see if it made sense. As I started typing I felt like I knew this could be a real story if I tried hard enough. So on that note, here is some insight.
   It's the last two weeks of your high school career. You have had a major crush, yet have never spoke to that person. You decide what better time to do it then right before school is out. Forever. You take the first steps towards speaking to the person, and you believe that maybe that person feels the same. You end up at a party, where you think your crush might be. Instead of just seeing your crush at the home of someone you detest. You learn more than what you ever dreamed possible. In one night your entire world changes. You have one week of school left, yet in that one week you are to make life changing decisions when all you wanted to do was finish school,tell your crush how you felt,  and move on to the next chapter in your life.

This is Selene Athans life. Will she follow her heart, or will she make the biggest mistake of her life?

I thought maybe my first blog, just told about who I am for a minute, but that did not really describe me very well. So, let's try this again.
 Colorful past.. well who's isn't really?
Who am I now is the point, right? Let's see... I am just your normal run of  the mill gal.
Nope, that's a lie. I should not lie to my readers.
Okay, let's try this again. I am a loud mouth, who loves to laugh, and to make others laugh. I often get told
"Is that Dee? I would know her laugh anywhere." I am not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I guess it's just my "thang" and I should own it, right? So here is me owning my laugh. When I say loud mouth, I should specify. That means that unfortunately, I may not always be able to keep my opinion to myself. This is often a very big fault for me, but hey we are being honest here. I truly love to make people happy. Oh sure, everyone says that. I am being honest. I like to make people feel comfortable in their own skin. (I should take my own advice on this at times) I am not perfect though, and well that is what makes me, me. So, here is to you. My new "friends" on my blog.
