Summer is over....

 
  I took the entire summer off from writing and anything that had to do with books.
  Now, that it's the beginning of the autumn season it's back to work I go. I could tell you a million reasons why I took a break, but I will sum it up in one word.... Peace. I needed to find some peace within myself again. Writing is therapy to me in many ways, but it was becoming more of something I started to dread versus enjoy. That makes for really bad books.

So, I decided to take the summer off and try to gather my thoughts. Where was the story going? What the hell was I writing about? How do you end this thing? Am I just writing to hear myself? These were the questions that made me stop. I love writing, but when it comes to finding yourself dreading it, then again that makes for a poorly written book.
That's when I decided to spend the summer not having to think about books, and try finding my way back into this author world.

When you have a dream you go after it full throttle. When you watch your dreams become reality, that's even more exciting. When you watch something you love from your dream crumble around you, then you decide you may need to step back for a minute. That doesn't mean you give up, that just gives you the time to keep pursuing that dream you have.

Now, that the time has come to finish the stories I started writing a year ago... I have something for you!

Teaser Tuesday!

 So, this week my facebook like page changed it up, quite a bit.
We decided to start giving back to the Indie community that helps me.

Yesterday, was Music Monday. Boy, oh boy, was there a different sound coming from people. All kinds of music was posted yesterday. On my Twitter, we did the same thing. There was a band that asked if I would listen to their tunes. As usual, I did. I was honored to have a couple of bands ask. I told the band FATKINGBULLA, I would mention them today. This band threw me for a loop. It's a latin group, but the music was the kind that makes you want to dance. Great beats, catchy tunes, and a fun band to say the least. I have nothing to compare them too, they have their own sound.

Let's be honest, some of the bands I won't love, but this one... This one caught my attention.
Music Monday also included songs from Puddle of Mud, Rob Zombie, Ellie Goulding, and more. The songs went along with Enchanted Legacy pretty well. I enjoy Music Monday so much. Truth be told, I can't write without music. They go hand in hand for me. I always take your suggestions, listen to them, and if you make the cut, then CONGRATS! Your muse, becomes my muse, to do what I love doing so much. I appreciate all the music of the world. It helps me find a peace..

On to Teaser Tuesday. We want others to join in on the fun. This will probably take a while for it to catch on, but we do love helping others. I am a firm believer in giving back, and that whole you get more bees with honey saying. It's the truth, though. If you help others, when you need help, they may be there for you. Being kind isn't just a phrase you should say, you should live it. If you have a teaser or you follow a book blog, etc.. let me know. I am always available for you guys.

Today is Friday, but let's do a throwback pic shall we?

From my first book I published, which is a small series. Meet Selene, the half goddess, half mortal child of Posedion. The god of the Seas. She doesn't know just how powerful she will become in the second book. Charmed Destiny. I am telling all, and telling you the name of the next book. Stay tuned... Charmed Destiny, is not going to be what you expected!

Let's start this day off, shall we?

Monday morning always seems to creep up on you when you think if it could have just held off for a couple of more hours, but none the less, it's Monday.

What shall we talk about today? Oh, I know. Writing. I think sometimes people believe that writing is easy or that even blogging is easy. I have to tell you, it's not. Well, for me it's not. You have to think of something fun or cool to say when blogging, and when writing a book, you have to write what you feel.

Make believe a story in your mind then put it into numerous words. It may be fun, but it's work.

Then you have to make sure that once the book is wrote you promote the book in every way possible, then you become obsessed with making sure everything and everyone is aware, and then you hope they like it.

That's the life of a writer, or at least my life. I wanted to tell all of you that I do love what I do, and I try my best. If you don't give your all, then why even try, you know? I am not even sure if people still read my blog, but the hell with it, I am writing anyways.

I enjoy knowing that sometimes my craziness is read and may be you feel the same way. We all have dark secrets and we don't tell the whole world, but then again we aren't always writing them down for the world to see. When I started writing the new book, I wanted a Romeo and Juliet twist on the book. Something tragic, yet something beautiful.

So, I just wrote.. and then wrote some more. I actually enjoyed writing for the first time with this book. On that note, I wanted to share one more teaser with you guys. I will be adding the song to the playlist on Wednesday, of course, but so far I hope your finding the music a little different than the last book's playlist. It's got quite a few tunes in the book, too.

Good Day to you. How is your Friday going? Mine? Going well. Thank you. (Just a little humor to start our day off with.) I have been working hard on trying to find music, teasers, you name it, for all of you. I think today we will post a teaser that let's you know how the curse can cause many issues for Bridget in Enchanted Legacy. Also, you know I will find a video for you guys. Let's hear it for Friday Fun Day. Have a great one, and enjoy the weekend. I know I will try.

Pain of knowing

Sometimes you have to take actions into your own hands, and even though you don't want to go to that dark place, YOU have to. Often we find ourselves in circumstances we didn't think we would be, but here we are. What do you do when the cards are stacking against you? Crumble or Fight? I say FIGHT! You have to fight for what you feel is right. Make it count..

I thought today I would share a new teaser with you all from my new book, Enchanted Legacy, due out in the Spring. Speaking of Spring it reminds me of how warm it is then. Today, with temperatures plummeting into the negatives, it's Spring I am dreaming of. Stay warm out there folks, and if you happen to live somewhere where it's nice and warm. You are lucky. 

Now, back to the teaser photo, I have shared. This book is going to be different than what people are expecting from me. This is a dark, fantasy, novel. 

My first stand alone novel, as it is. I wanted to write a book that reminded me of one my favorite love stories, yet a tragic love story. Romeo and Juliet. 

This is my take on that concept. 

No one will ever compare to Shakespeare and they shouldn't try. That's why I wrote this. I wanted something different, I wanted something that you could sink your teeth into, so to speak. 

I wanted to write true feelings on how sometimes the world isn't always on our side, and we have to make our own paths. 

We have to make our lives for the better. 

Not letting others bring us down, pull us down, and overall, learn who we want to be. I often find myself wondering why everything goes wrong at once, or why when everything seems right, something goes wrong. 

How do we overcome the shit that gets thrown at us. Everyone has a story. Everyone has the ability to fight for what they want, what they believe and fight to be accepted for who you are. This book also has a character in it, I became very fond of. 

As I started writing this story I wanted this character. He had to be in a book. It may not be what people want, and I may take quite a bit of slack for writing a character like this, but I didn't care. 

I hope that when Spring does arrive you will fall in love with this book as much as I have. You may even recognize yourself in this one. Fight for what you want, don't let others try to sway you into being something your not. BE YOU! Believe in yourself, and the power to be awesome just the way you are. See you on the dark side, my friends..

            I thought I would share another teaser photo for my newest book. Enchanted Legacy. This book is about a girl who already had a rough start to her seventeenth year of life. Now, she has to deal with a whole bunch of drama. This books brings you into the world of being a Witch, a teenager, and a life that may be cursed. 

I have been trying to think of the song that I could use today.. SO many to chose from... I think I shall go with ..
