Finally..

This has been a rough week. We went from the book going live, to the book being pulled. It was crazy. BUT after we got everything worked out, it's now available again. Whew. What a relief ... It was very hard to try to tell people that you are sorry, they just bought a book they couldn't even open. Like I said, it was finally all worked out, and we are good to go. When I wrote Charming Selene, I really just thought I wanted to tell my story in a very different way. Then as I started to think of another idea, Enchanted Legacy came to me in a rough draft type form. I knew I wanted to tell a different type of story, and I wondered if people would read it. As I wrote the story and the characters became so real to me. Real teenagers that had to live in a cursed world, and how would they deal with all of it.. on top of being in love. When my beta readers read the story, I was asked if I had really wrote the book. At first I was taken back, but then I realized that person thought it was good. That's when I got excited. I felt like I was finding my way through this book. I was in a dark place, and I wrote it out.. Tonight we are doing a giveaway on Facebook. It seems like just yesterday to me I was wondering if I would ever have anyone read the book, and now I am doing a giveaway for it. Life is funny that way.

I talk a lot about fulfilling your dreams, and how to reach for the stars.. I feel like I have done that. I want to give up like a hundred times a week, I won't lie. I don't even know if I connect with people enough sometimes, but then I think.. Yea, I like what I do, and I like the people whom I have met via internet. I have been lucky. I never have anyone tell me they hate my books or tell me they don't like me. I always wait for that shoe to drop so to speak. I appreciate all of the kind words, the amount of love I feel from people. It gives me hope that their are others out there just like me. People who want to just lives their lives, be happy, and share the love they have with others.
Now, of course, we all have our days, but for the most part.. I am genuine, and the people are too.

I missed the playlist yesterday, and I know.. I know that was no good. Due to a family member going into the hospital and my book issues, I just didn't have it in me. So, for today, I will share one last song for Enchanted Legacy. (Although, I typically find songs for the book all the time..) I will share this one. I used music quite a bit in the book. There is a part that one of the main characters hums a song.. I could never really think of what that song was, till I finished the book. I will share that with you all today. I hope you will join us on facebook tonight. The event is The Sassy Witches Present Enchanted Legacy. It should be fun, and I have a lot to give away.

NOW, for the song....

Ellie Goulding - Bittersweet
I know the song is from Twilight, but the song worked magically well.
She has such a sweet, innocence, about her voice.

I hope you enjoy the book, and enjoy today's song. Peace, Love, and all that jazz -Dee King-

Good Day..

Sorry for not being around, it seems I have caught a cold. I am not exactly sure why we say we have caught something, when in fact, I did not actually catch it. None the less, I have been sick, which makes me not be able to think of such randomness I could share with you all. Have no fear though, I am feeling better.. So, now your stuck with my corky old self.

I had been trying to think of what I would share with you all today. Would it be about the weather, because that's changing constantly, would it be about a movie I had seen, or would it be about books. The list becomes long when I let my mind run rapid. (Which I may need to tone that down some.) Either way, I found myself just thinking about who cares. Who cares about the damn weather. We all know it's winter time, and unless you live in California or Florida, you probably know the forecast. Cold. Movie wise, there is so many that I recently watched that has me wanting to spill about all of them, but then I think, who cares about that, today.

Now, your wondering, what in the world is she rambling about. Get on with it. Well.. I thought I would tell you all that I think change is good. I took a big leap yesterday and this past week on trying to better myself. Finding the happy in myself, and finding the happy that I can share with others. I feel like we are always trying to sell ourselves in some sort of way, but do we look at who we truly are in the inside? We can share five hundred things about ourselves, but in reality do we just share what we want people to see.

The fake us? The people we think we have to be?

I thought of this, as I decided to post about the subject. I always share what I think you want to hear, then at times that fails. What I want to share is me. Share the ups and downs of real life.
I am a real person, and this is just me being me. I have been honored to see how many people read my crazy words. I never want to think that someone took the time out to hear me, but I didn't even pay attention.
Well, I do.
I pay attention. I see you on my facebook, my twitter, my blog. I watch and feel giddy as I see that you have read what I have said. You make me a better person. This blog post is about me telling you that I have a new lease on life, and that you have made that happen.

Thank you for reading my crazy thoughts, for wanting to read my next book, Enchanted Legacy, and trying to listen to all the songs I post for the playlist. I couldn't do this without you.

Books turned into films

Today on my facebook "like" page I will be discussing books and movies. Books that were turned into films. I have now seen Divergent twice. Once in the theater, and once at my home when it was released. I thought this film was very close to the book. Veronica Roth wrote a book for all ages. It truly was a masterpiece. Telling the story of Tris, and how she defy's the "system" is a way for everyone to see that it's okay to be different. It leaves you wanting more. I truly hope that people find the courage within themselves as Tris does. Some of you may be asking what does this have to do with my books or my writing? I will explain that. I love to read. It's how I started writing to begin with. I want to share some of my favorites, and some of my love for the YA genre.https://www.facebook.com/AuthorDeeKing?ref=hl  Feel free to come like my page and join in on the fun! Peace, love, and all that Jazz :)

Randomness for this Friday!

WORLD CUP! FIFA! Are you watching????

Now, before you get all excited, or sad, I wanted to share some random thought's with you all! Next blog post it will be back to your regular scheduled program.. Haha..

World Cup is going on right now! Even if you are not a fan you have probably seen an ad, a tweet, a facebook status.. you name it, you have at least heard about it! In America we refer to the sport as soccer.. I often find it funny that people either love or hate the sport. Why is that? If I am right, (which I could totally be wrong, so you may want to check the stats on this) Soccer aka Futbol has been around for many, many years! I believe it was the first global sport! ( Beside's the Olympics) Futbol is an amazing sport to watch to be honest. The athletics alone used in this sport is to be admired! Have you ever been to a game? I am telling you now, it is worth every penny! The fans alone can make a game! I have seen anywhere from singing to fighting! FANS truly love their teams! What is the team you are "rooting for?" It's looking like Germany is in good runnings for this win of the World Cup! I personally, have 2 favorite teams. One of them is on it's last leg, though. They have one more chance to win just to stay in the games.

Today, I wanted to let you all know that I love sports, too! People are complex, and I thought I would share some love for the games!

Let's hear for it your team! Go ahead, SHOUT IT OUT!! GOOOOOO (insert your team's name)!!!!!! Good Luck to your teams!

Excited!!!

Tomorrow there will be a surprise posted to my blog! A video! The video will show you my book in pictures so to speak. This will be the first of many new items I will be adding. I am excited to share this with you all. The name of my book, and the main character will be revealed. I will also be adding some new music to playlist. I am taking requests so to speak?
I also plan on introducing myself, and where you can find me. Via Facebook/Twitter... I always try to answer everyone back. Working on this book of mine is probably the hardest, yet most fun I have had. I will be doing interviews with some up and coming new authors too. So stick with me, the adventure has just begun.
