Just a little something to start your Monday......

Alright, alright, alright.. (My best Matthew McConaughey voice there) We have made a video for Charmed Destiny. Now, if this works.. I am crossing my fingers, but I am so excited to share this. This was a big collaboration of efforts.

Two Indie Bands let me use their songs for the video. Choosing the songs were easy, though. I love both of these songs and these bands. The Shameless Pursuit and Ships Have Sailed let me use their tunes and I couldn't thank them enough!

The video is to tell you a little of the newest book to the Charming Series. I wanted to tell just enough that maybe others would be excited to see where the story is headed. It's very different from the first one. Hopefully, that's a good thing.

Well, without further ado.. I give you the video for Charmed Destiny!

Oops I did it again..

I totally missed playlist Wednesday. I got caught up with other things I was doing and it totally slipped my mind. So sorry. Today I am going to give more of the book's playlist and a video! Yepee! I knew you guys would be excited. (Haha, okay may be not, but let's pretend.) On my website the entire list will be on there, but if you want to wait and see how many songs and how the story plays out through music feel free to just keep reading the blogs.

Like I said before this one took a long time to really put together and where would the songs make sense at the right times. I still did the one song that would sum up the book as a whole. That's the last song I will share. Before we get into the list, let's talk about what's going on this week in this crazy world.

From what the news is telling us is, France has done some major counter attacks on the ISIS group. (Hell yes! GO FRANCE!) These so called religious groups need to understand that when you take an innocent life then you probably get what you deserve. That may sound harsh, but it's the way it works. You can't murder others and not think you won't ever have to pay the ultimate price for taking someone's life. So again I am all for France taking matters into their own hands. I just didn't think it was going to be this fast.

What else do we have... Oh, I said I had a surprise about the Charming Series. I have two new covers that will be revealed for the first book, and the book we are about to publish. I always get so nervous when it comes to the cover reveals. (I cross my fingers and hope you like it.) These covers are way different and when they are revealed I will explain why they have the covers they do now. It's exciting and terrifying all in one. That's what I finished yesterday, hence why the blog post didn't come out.

Let's get to the music shall we? I think I stopped at Atlas Genius, for the first part of the soundtrack to the novel. Here we go.....

Fall Out Boy- Immortals

X-Ambassadors- Renegade

The Black Keys- Everlasting Light

Justin Timberlake- Sexy Back

Death Cab for Cutie- Black Sun

Slipknot- The Devil Inside

Ellie Goulding- Burn

Fall Out Boy- Centuries

Five Finger Death Punch- Wrong Side of Heaven

This is it for today, the last will be revealed next Wednesday for our final playlist list. I also wanted to say that the playlist will be listed in the book, just not the songs, that's an exclusive to the blogs and the website only.

Now, for the video as promised! This is the lyrics one, so you can see where the book is going.

Peace, Love, and all that Jazz- Dee

P.S. Next week we shall discuss the upcoming holiday. Stay tuned....

Sharing my nerd side!

I am a big fan of comic books! I know.. Some of you are thinking, really? Yes, really. I love the movies, I love quite a few comic books. I wanted to share a clip that I found funny. If you are into comics or I like the movies, everyone freaks out when they find out who plays who when the movies come out. This is a discussion that happens in my household every time a new comic movie comes out. I am actually excited about the new Batman movie. I think it's going to be awesome. Now, if you really know comic books, then you already know who are the leads in this upcoming film. If you do not know I am about to share with you.
P.S. I'm also a huge fan of Jimmy Fallon, so I decided to go with this clip! I hope you all enjoy and get a good laugh today!

Two movies, and a video

This past weekend I watched quite a few movies. This is my opinion on just two of them.
             Shall we begin?

The first movie would be Fury. The movie with Brad Pitt, about the tankers jobs in WWII.
This movie was violent, but very real. It showed WAR times as they truly are. To know that during the times of WAR how hard people fight for their countries. It was a true beauty to see their compassion for one another. Throughout the movie, it's either kill or be killed. Let me tell you, I cried. Not once, not twice, but three times. This movie captured everything about war, about real people fighting for a cause they may have not been for, but are there to do a job. It was and is a movie I would tell anyone to see. It was truly a beautiful disaster in all honesty. Brad Pitt gave an exceptional performance, but so did they all. If you have been wondering if you should see this film, wonder no longer. You SHOULD!

The next movie is The Normal Heart. It was a movie on HBO. I have spoke about this film before, but I had not yet had the pleasure of seeing it. This movie really is in your face. It shows how love can be love, and how it can also cause chaos. A time when the world had no clue what AIDS was. One man started a fight that many are still fighting. The movie may be about gay men finding out that they had a disease that seemed to only be effecting them, but it was much more than that. I had no idea how hard these men had to fight, and without them, we still may be clueless as to what this deadly disease can do to millions. If you have ever had relations with someone, you should see this movie. Knowing and understand how the H.I.V. virus spreads, and how AIDS can claim anyone is the importance of this movie. The actors in this film went above and beyond my wildest thoughts a HBO movie could do. I truly hope that everyone sees this movie. It's an amazing true story of a love, lives taken, and finding a cure.

Now, I know this is quite a bit in one blog post, but bare with me. Today is playlist Wednesday, and I have a song I would like to share. This song captured my thoughts toward the end of the book. It's beautiful, sad, and reminds me how you can set fire to the rain. I chose Adele's, Set Fire to the Rain, because I felt like this song says something about love. How you can feel, how you can grieve from love, and yet feel the beautiful tragedy of it.
Without further ado, I give you Adele.

Learn to love one another for who they are

If you have not heard the words in this song, then you are missing out. It's a beautiful darkness in this song. The video is powerful. When will "we" as a people learn to be more tolerant of one another. How do we say who is right or who is wrong? If you have not watched this video I urge you to do so! Really listen to the words.... This song will be used in one of my books! I think too many people judge others, and are quick to blame someone else for what they feel is wrong. Keep an open mind, and learn to love one another......

Excited!!!

Tomorrow there will be a surprise posted to my blog! A video! The video will show you my book in pictures so to speak. This will be the first of many new items I will be adding. I am excited to share this with you all. The name of my book, and the main character will be revealed. I will also be adding some new music to playlist. I am taking requests so to speak?
I also plan on introducing myself, and where you can find me. Via Facebook/Twitter... I always try to answer everyone back. Working on this book of mine is probably the hardest, yet most fun I have had. I will be doing interviews with some up and coming new authors too. So stick with me, the adventure has just begun.
